Dehradun. Uttarakhand Pradesh Congress Committee General Secretary Naveen Joshi, while addressing the local public at DL Road under Rajpur Assembly constituency today in view of the civic elections, said that the BJP government is postponing the civic elections in view of its defeat. He said that the BJP wants to capture the civic bodies by placing administrators in them.

The Congress party strongly opposes this. He said that the BJP government is trying to suppress the voice of the people by adopting such tactics to hide its anti-people policies. This will be strongly opposed. He said that the BJP is spoiling the environment of the country by ending the country’s “Sarvadharma Sambhav”, which is not a good sign for a clean democracy.

He said that the BJP government has misled the people in the name of Smart City. Smart City has also become a mere slogan. Joshi said that the Modi government has not achieved anything in its 10-year tenure except the uncontrollable increase in the prices of petrol, diesel, LPG cylinders and food items. He said that today inflation is at its peak and the common man has to struggle for two meals a day. He said that due to the continuous increase in the prices of petroleum products (diesel, petrol, cooking gas), the prices of common essential commodities have increased several times and the people of the country have suffered.

He said that due to the increase in the prices of petrol and diesel, the prices of food items have increased considerably. Due to which the common people are getting disillusioned with the BJP.

On this occasion, State Spokesperson Ashish Nautiyal, Gopal Singh Gadiya, Virendra Pawar, Rajiv Dhirendra Giriraj Hindwan etc. were present.
