Uttarakhand. Under the far-sighted vision and efficient leadership of Hon’ble Chief Minister, UPCL is achieving new dimensions day by day. As a result of continuous requests and coordination with the Government of India by Hon’ble Chief Minister and Secretary (Energy), UPCL has received an average allocation of 300 MW of electricity per month from the unallocated central pool during the upcoming winter season. This allocated power quota has been received from October 2024 to March 2025, which will reduce the gap between demand and availability and as a result, there will be no power cut of any kind even during peak hours.

Out of the total unallocated quota, 20-25 percent of the power quota has been allocated to the state of Uttarakhand, which is the maximum compared to other states and the Managing Director UPCL has thanked the State Government and Secretary Energy ji wholeheartedly for the efforts made for this allocation.

UPCL is committed to the availability of electricity at the best quality and reasonable rates to the electricity consumers of the entire state. UPCL is committed to ensure smooth and continuous supply of electricity to every village and every house across the state.
