Vikasnagar. (25 September) The workers of the committee under the leadership of Gambhir Singh Chauhan, President of Lok Panchayat Yamuna Tirtha Samiti, submitted a memorandum to Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami. In the memorandum, there was a demand for early construction of the ghat on the banks of Yamuna at Haripur (Kalsi) and to carry out important development works related to the construction of Yamuna Krishna Dham.
It was mentioned in the memorandum that on September 7, 2023, the foundation stone for the construction of Yamuna Krishna Dham and Ghat on the banks of Yamuna was laid by the Chief Minister, which aroused enthusiasm and hope among the people of the area, but even after 1 year has passed, the non-starting of the construction work of the ghat is a matter of concern. People hoped that the construction of the ghat would also provide employment opportunities to the local people.
In the memorandum given by the Lok Panchayat Yamuna Tirtha Samiti, it was said that an access road of about 200 meters should be constructed from the old bridge to Yamuna Krishna Dham, so that devotees and tourists can easily reach the proposed Dham. Also, it was said that a 300 meter long security wall should be constructed for the security of the Dham, so that the security of the Yamuna Krishna Dham complex can be ensured.
The committee has also demanded that the dirty drain flowing near the Dham should be treated underground, so that the balance of cleanliness and environment is maintained around the complex. The committee urged the Chief Minister to complete these works on priority, so that this important religious place can be completed on time and with full quality.
The committee called this project a milestone for the spiritual development of Haripur and the entire Jaunsar Bawar region. This will not only increase religious and cultural awareness, but will also create new employment opportunities. On this occasion, senior member of Lok Panchayat Shri Chand Sharma, Chairman of SMR Tribal PG College Anil Singh Tomar, former Information Officer of the Assembly Bharat Chauhan, Secretary of Yamuna Tirtha Committee Satpal Singh Chauhan etc. were present.
