Instructions given to provide certificates to tribal people by organizing camps in tribal villages.

Uttarakhand. Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has directed the District Magistrates to provide tribal certificates to the people of tribal communities by organizing camps in all tribal villages. She has directed all the 17 departments working for the effective implementation of the Prime Minister’s Tribal Unnat Gram Abhiyan to nominate their nodal officers. These nodal officers will participate in the brainstorming camp organized by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India in relation to the Prime Minister’s Unnat Gram Yojana on 27 September.

The Chief Secretary has directed the District Magistrates and the concerned departments to set up camps in all tribal dominated villages and ensure 100 percent coverage of PM Ujjwala Yojana, Jal Jeevan Mission, electrification schemes. Along with this, the Chief Secretary has directed the District Magistrates to organize a program in every village selected at the district level on the occasion of the launch of the Prime Minister’s Tribal Unnat Gram Abhiyan by the Hon’ble Prime Minister on 02 October.

It is noteworthy that on September 27, a brainstorming camp is to be organized by the Ministry of Tribal Affairs, Government of India in relation to the Prime Minister’s Unnat Gram Yojana. Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has directed all 17 departments to submit their action plan before that. The Chief Secretary has directed the District Magistrates to nominate a nodal officer to coordinate the information of the district for the Pradhan Mantri Unnat Gram Yojana. 128 tribal dominated villages of 15 blocks of 07 districts have been selected for the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Unnat Gram Yojana in the state of Uttarakhand. The main objective of the scheme is to improve the socio-economic condition of the tribal communities, under which the development of basic facilities, economic empowerment, good education and healthy life are to be encouraged.

In the review meeting held in connection with Pradhan Mantri Unnat Gram Yojana under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Radha Raturi in the Secretariat, Secretary Mr. Sachin Kurve, Dr. B V R C Purushottam, Additional Secretary Dr. Neeraj Khairwal, C Ravi Shankar and officers of the concerned departments were present.
