School closed for 2 days due to tiger scare

Pauri Garhwal. A 7-year-old boy was attacked and injured by a tiger in Kholi Tok village of Thagar under Tehsil Jakhanikhal of Yamkeshwar assembly constituency development block Dwarikhal of Pauri district on Saturday morning. He is undergoing treatment at AIIMS hospital Rishikesh. Since then, an atmosphere of panic has prevailed in the area.

In view of the increasing activity of tigers and leopards in the area and the safety of children, District Magistrate Pauri Dr. Ashish Chauhan declared a two-day holiday on Monday and Tuesday in Government Inter College Kandul Thakur, Government Primary School Kandul, Thagar, Dalgwadi, Nerul, Bagi, Hatnood, Pogtha, Government Higher Primary School Hatnood.
