Uttarakhand. Hospitals committing fraud in the Ayushman scheme run by the State Health Authority will now be reined in. On this issue, the Chairman of the Authority, Mr. Arvind Singh Hyanki has issued strict instructions to the State Anti-Fraud Unit to remain active.
In the review meeting held yesterday, the Chairman of the Authority, Arvind Singh Hyanki, has issued strict instructions to the State Anti-Fraud Unit to remain vigilant. He instructed to conduct the audit more carefully and with quality. In the special audit, instructions were given to conduct beneficiary audit before and after taking treatment under Ayushman.
The team will collect feedback from the beneficiaries, especially regarding the monetary demands of the hospital, on the claims that have been rejected. It will also be checked from time to time whether the beneficiaries are getting cashless and better treatment in the hospitals.
To avoid discrepancies in the details of the beneficiaries, all the hospitals will now have to fill the detailed information of the beneficiary correctly on the declaration form. He stressed the need to train the call center employees. He said that this will facilitate quick investigation. If fraud is detected in the investigation, strict action will be taken against the concerned hospital as per the guidelines issued by the National Health Authority.
Director Medical Quality Dr Vinod Tolia said that action is being taken as per the issued instructions. Investigation teams have been asked to be more vigilant and active.
