Company director arrested for fraud of Rs 1.5 crore

Srinagar Garhwal. (On 19.01.2024), plaintiff Tejpal Singh resident of Dam Colony Srinagar gave a complaint application at Kotwali Srinagar that the accused 1. Pradeep Kumar, 2. Brij Mohan, 3. Kuldeep Kumar 4. Govind Prasad 5. Manoj Singh have committed fraud of Rs 1.5 crore by opening a fake chit fund company ‘Antarikshya Kisan Mitra Producer Limited Company’ at Gurudwara Road Srinagar and luring people to invest in it by promising high interest on their deposits.

On the basis of this complaint application, FIR No. 06/2024, Section-420, 120 (B) IPC, 3 UPID Act and 3/21 (3) Buds Act was registered at Kotwali Srinagar. In the above case, on 22.03.2024, accused 1. Brij Mohan 2. Kuldeep Kumar 3. Manoj Singh were arrested and sent to jail and accused Govind Prasad died due to some other reasons and the main operator of the company Pradeep Kumar was continuously absconding after the case was registered.

Taking the fraud incident with the general public seriously, Senior Superintendent of Police Pauri Lokeshwar Singh had directed for the immediate arrest of the accused. In which earlier 3 accused had been arrested by the police and continuous efforts were being made by the police team to arrest the absconding main accused Pradeep Kumar, but due to the accused being a cunning type, he was constantly changing his hideouts and avoiding arrest, on which a reward of 25 thousand was declared by Senior Superintendent of Police Pauri on the arrest of the accused.

As a result of raids at various places by the Srinagar Police team, Pradeep Kumar, involved in the above case and a rewardee, was arrested from Mangalore, Haridwar. The necessary legal action is being taken by presenting the arrested accused before the Hon’ble Court.
