CM Dhami distributed appointment letters to 1094 JEs

Uttarakhand. In the virtual presence of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, appointment letters were given to 1094 junior engineers selected in various departments under the Uttarakhand Combined State Junior Engineer Service Examination, 2023. Cabinet Ministers Satpal Maharaj, Premchand Aggarwal, Rajya Sabha MP Naresh Bansal and MLA Savita Kapoor were present in this program organized at the auditorium of the Culture Department located at Nimbuwala, Garhi Cantt.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami also had a virtual dialogue with the candidates selected for the post of Junior Engineer on this occasion. Yogesh Kadakoti said that after the implementation of strict anti-copying law in the state, transparency has come in the recruitment examinations. This recruitment process has been completed in a very short time. He gave a message to the youth preparing for various recruitment examinations to work hard and believe in themselves.

The speed with which the recruitment processes are being completed by the state government has raised new hope among the youth. Sandeep Uniyal said that he did his diploma in 2014 and he has been preparing for competitive exams since 2019. He said that after the implementation of anti-cheating law in the state and the speed of recruitment exams, the inclination of youth towards government jobs has increased further. Mahjabi of Roorkee said that this entire recruitment process was completed in less than a year, the speed at which recruitments are coming in the state, everyone is excited to prepare.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami congratulated all the selected junior engineers and said that today a new chapter of your life has started. With the grace of their parents, teachers and God, everyone is getting an opportunity to serve in Devbhoomi Uttarakhand. He expressed hope that the 1094 candidates who have got appointment today will further strengthen the departments. The Chief Minister told the selected candidates to stay updated regularly according to the rapid expansion of knowledge, science and technology. He said that everyone should discharge their responsibilities with full devotion and dedication, for this it is necessary to make a regular routine in the field.

The Chief Minister said that in the last three years in the state, more than 17 thousand jobs have been provided in government departments in the state. He said that after taking oath on 04 July 2021, in the first cabinet, we decided that recruitment will be done on all the vacant posts in the state. Many recruitment examinations are going on right now. The entire time period from requisition of recruitment examinations to providing appointment letter has been reduced in the state. A calendar has been prepared for recruitment examinations for the whole year. Chief Minister said that since the implementation of anti-cheating law in the state, all recruitment examinations have been conducted with transparency. Today, deserving youth are succeeding in every recruitment examination. Strict punishment provisions have been made in the anti-cheating law. It has provisions for life imprisonment and even confiscation of all property. To completely eradicate cheating from the state, the government has taken strict action against the copy mafia.

The Chief Minister said that a new work culture has started in the country under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. In Uttarakhand too, the state government is continuously working towards bringing a new work culture. The state has got the first place in the country in the indicator of Sustainable Development Goals released by NITI Aayog. Uttarakhand is second in the category of fastest developing states in the country.

Cabinet Minister Satpal Maharaj said that the appointment of 1094 new junior engineers in the state will further speed up the work. He said that during the service, there will be an opportunity to meet many people, he expressed hope that all the selected candidates will solve the public problems very successfully and will make their important contribution in making Uttarakhand a developed state.

Cabinet Minister Premchand Aggarwal said that with the arrival of new junior engineers, one more link has been added to the development and need of the state. He said that there was a huge shortage of junior engineers in the Urban Development and Housing Department. The work will speed up with the arrival of new junior engineers. Now development works will gain momentum.

The 1094 junior engineers who were given appointment letters today include 252 posts in Public Works Department, 201 in Rural Works Department, 137 in Irrigation Department, 46 in Minor Irrigation Department, 41 in Panchayati Raj Department, 91 in Drinking Water and Sanitation Department, Jal Sansthan, 50 in Drinking Water and Sanitation Department, Drinking Water Corporation, 134 in Housing Department, 32 in Urban Development Department, 5 in Power Transmission Corporation of Uttarakhand Limited, 49 in Uttarakhand Jal Vidyut Limited, 37 in Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Department, 10 in Uttarakhand Renewable Energy Development Agency (UREDA), 9 posts in Energy Development.

On this occasion, Additional Chief Secretary Mr. Anand Bardhan, Secretary Dr. Ranjit Sinha, S.N. Pandey, Dr. R. Rajesh Kumar, Additional Secretary Ranveer Singh Chauhan, Ranjana Rajguru, Atar Singh, Vineet Kumar, Director Urban Development Nitin Bhadoria and concerned departmental officers were present.
