Farmers were made aware about medicinal plants

  1. Chamoli. A workshop based on medicinal plants was organized by Republic Foundation Society, Dehradun in the remote village of Kanol in Chamoli district. In this three-day workshop, local farmers were informed about various aspects of production as well as marketing of medicinal plants.

Master trainer of the organization Kunwar Singh Negi said that in today’s time, farmers can become self-reliant by joining the cultivation of medicinal plants. He told that there are many types of medicinal plants in our area which we can all cultivate together. During this, he provided important information about growing medicinal plants, its maintenance and utility. This workshop was organized from 18 September to 20 September. In which a large number of local villagers and farmers participated.
