Jammu and Kashmir. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Thursday participated in a public meeting organized in favor of BJP candidate Surjit Singh Salathia in Samba, Jammu and Kashmir. Addressing thousands of people, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that the brave land of Samba has given many brave sons in the service of Mother India. Paying tribute to Samba, the land of heroes, he said that with the blessings of the people, BJP candidate Surjit Singh Salathia will definitely win with a huge majority. This election is an election to take the state of Jammu and Kashmir to new heights of development. He urged the people to form a double engine government in the entire state by voting for the lotus flower on 1st October.
The Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji has realized the vision of Shyama Prasad Mukherjee ji of one country, one constitution and one flag. Under the leadership of the Prime Minister, the work of ending Article 370 and fulfilling the dream of a unified India has been done. He said that whenever BJP raised its voice to abolish Article 370, it was opposed. But on 05 August 2019, the BJP government under the leadership of the Prime Minister has done a historic work by abolishing Article 370.
The Chief Minister said that before the abolition of Article 370, stone pelters and terrorists were dominating Kashmir. These people have continuously worked to stop the progress of the country. But under the BJP government at the Center, there has been minimum terrorism and maximum tourism inside Jammu and Kashmir.
Today, incidents of stone pelting have completely stopped in Jammu and Kashmir. Now no one has the courage to pelt stones. This time the election is going to be very historic. For the first time after independence, the people of Jammu and Kashmir will vote not under two flags, two constitutions but under the tricolor, on the basis of Baba Ambedkar’s Constitution. Earlier, 10 percent voting used to take place in Kashmir, but in the Lok Sabha elections 2024, it increased to 58 percent voting.
The Chief Minister said that under the leadership of the Prime Minister, a new path of development has opened in Jammu and Kashmir. Many works are being done towards strengthening education, health, connectivity and infrastructure.
Today, many colleges have been built in the valley along with IIT, IIM. Work is in progress on many hydro projects at a cost of 25000 crores. Now the youth have skills and not weapons in their hands. Since 2019, 30 thousand youth have got employment and foreign investment of 70 thousand crores has increased. In which 5 big projects have been started. Construction work of IT Park is going on. After the launch of Udyan Registration Portal, 1.5 lakh MSME units have been opened. Today the development of Jammu and Kashmir is the priority of the Prime Minister.
The Chief Minister said that earlier there was a shadow of terrorism during the pilgrimage of Baba Amarnath, but now more than five lakh people have visited Baba Amarnath. This is the new Jammu and Kashmir, which we have been waiting for a long time.
Today the flag of India remains high in Lal Chowk. He said that under the leadership of the Prime Minister, India is moving towards becoming Vishwa Guru. In the coming years, India will become the third largest economy. Today the whole world waits for India’s stand on every major event. The Pakistan that used to threaten us, today does not dare to raise its eyes towards India. Many historic decisions have been taken in the last 10 years.
The Chief Minister said that in the Congress government, the then Home Minister was afraid of coming to Kashmir. He said that if the princes of Congress are able to enter Kashmir today, then the credit for this also goes to the Prime Minister. He said that the people of Congress, National Conference and PDP say that trade and talks should be started with Pakistan. Terrorists, separatists and stone-pelters should be released. Their thinking is anti-national. He said that the amount of energy, passion and enthusiasm that is there in the people, this passion should not stop.
