India’s best start

India did not allow the South African team to get a good start while chasing the target of 177 runs. Jasprit Bumrah bowled Reeza Hendricks on the third ball of the second over. In the third over, Arshdeep got South African captain Aiden Markram caught by Rishabh Pant. He was out after scoring four runs. Meanwhile, Quinton De Kock had established his feet on the wicket. Tristan Stubbs joined him. Stubbs, however, lost his wicket through his own mistake. He wanted to hit Axar Patel’s ball outside the off stump but missed. Stubbs scored 31 runs.

De Kock and Klaasen’s strike

Stubbs’ departure did not affect De Kock and he continued scoring runs in a stormy manner.Heinrich Klaasen started hitting long shots in his familiar style. De Kock was looking dangerous. Both the batsmen were playing the spinners well, so Rohit called back Arshdeep Singh. Rohit’s move worked and on the third ball of the 13th over, De Kock was caught by Kuldeep Yadav at deep square leg. This left-handed batsman scored 39 runs in 31 balls with the help of four fours and one six.

Kohli’s strong innings

The hero of this victory of Team India was the player whose bat was completely calm before the final. There were talks of dropping him from the team, but in this match he explained why Virat Kohli is great. Kohli played an inning of 76 runs in the final. This innings of his came under pressure. Rohit Sharma (9) was out in the second over. Rishabh Pant could not even open the account. From here Kohli played a responsible inning. He made a partnership of 72 runs with Akshar Patel. Akshar Patel could not complete his half-century. He scored 47 runs on 31 balls. Akshar hit four sixes and one four in his innings.

Dubey supported

Kohli then added 57 runs with Shivam Dubey. Kohli was out on the fifth ball of the 19th over. In his innings, this batsman faced 59 balls and hit six fours and two sixes.
