New Delhi. After the visit to China, the attitude of Maldives President Mohammed Moizzu has suddenly changed. Before going to China, Muizzu and his government were on the backfoot, but after returning from China, their tone has changed. After returning from China, Muizzu said without naming India, we are undoubtedly a small country but because of this no one gets the license to bully us. He said, “We are not a country that lives at the behest of anyone. We are an independent and sovereign country.” A day after this statement, a high level core group meeting of India and Maldives was held. In which Maldives has talked about withdrawing its troops from India.

However, the statement of the Indian Foreign Ministry does not mention the last date for the withdrawal of troops. But the Foreign Ministry of Maldives has said that the soldiers will be sent back to India by March 15. Maldives has even said that Indian troops are ready to withdraw, whereas no such information has been given by the Indian government yet.
