Uttarakhand. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami’s resolution of “corruption free Uttarakhand” is continuously moving forward. Vigilance action against the corrupt in the state is continuously in motion. In the last 48 hours, Vigilance has arrested 2 bribe takers red handed from Chamoli and Pauri. It is clear from this that the Chief Minister has intensified the campaign to send the corrupt to jail in the state.

On Saturday, the Vigilance team arrested Revenue Inspector (Kanungo) Kailash Ravi red handed while taking a bribe of Rs 15 thousand in Agroda area of Pauri district. Immediately after this incident, on Sunday, Excise Inspector Jaibeer Singh of Karnaprayag area of Chamoli district was arrested red handed by the team of Vigilance Sector Dehradun while taking a bribe of Rs 30 thousand. With 2 consecutive big arrests by Vigilance in the last 48 hours, Chief Minister Dhami’s campaign for corruption free Uttarakhand has intensified.

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has given a strict warning to the corrupt from the very first day. To listen to the complaints of the general public related to corruption, “Corruption Free App 1064” has also been launched in the state. And posters of “Corruption Free App 1064” are being put up in every small and big government office of the state, so that awareness is created among the people. So far, more than 980 vigilance and non-vigilance complaints have been registered in the app. Acting seriously on these complaints, Vigilance has sent the bribe takers to jail. In the last 9 months, Vigilance has sent about 30 bribe takers to jail. With two arrests in the last 48 hours, this figure has reached close to 32. In 23 years of Uttarakhand, a total of 303 arrests have been made in 281 corruption-related traps. In the last 3 years, Vigilance has sent about 70 corrupt people to jail.

The Chief Minister said that swift action will be taken against the corrupt people who harass the common people. He said that strict action will be taken against anyone who is involved in corruption. Vigilance has been further strengthened to curb corruption.

This action against the corrupt has been taken swiftly after the launch of ‘Corruption Free App 1064’. This app is proving to be helpful for the common citizen. Through this app, the common citizens are fearlessly teaching a lesson to the bribe takers, lazy people and those who delay work unnecessarily. The identity of the people complaining in this app is kept secret.
