Dehradun. On the 30th anniversary of Rampur Tiraha incident, Haridwar MP and former Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat reached Shaheed Smarak at Dehradun court and paid tribute to Uttarakhand state agitators. At the same time, martyrs were remembered and saluted across the state.
Rawat paid tribute to the martyred state agitators on the 30th anniversary of Rampur Tiraha incident. He said that the contribution of the agitators will always be remembered.
He said that we celebrate this day in many ways. It is the birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi, who followed the principle of non-violence and Satyagraha for the independence of the country, and the former Prime Minister of the country Lal Bahadur Shastri, who gave priority to the military power of the country by proclaiming Jai Jawan Jai Kisan and worked for the strengthening of farmers.
