Rudraprayag. The Dhami government of the state is going to give two gifts to the people of Rudraprayag on the occasion of the festive season. Health Secretary Dr. R Rajesh Kumar says that Ukhimath Primary Health Center will be upgraded to a Community Health Center. Apart from this, Makkumath Health Sub Center will now be converted into a Primary Health Center. The Health Secretary said that this gift is being given to the people of the district on the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Health Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat. A government order will be issued soon in this regard.
Health Secretary Dr. R Rajesh Kumar is on a two-day visit to Rudraprayag on the instructions of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami and Health Minister Dr. Dhan Singh. The Health Secretary is also the in-charge Secretary of Rudraprayag. On this occasion, he inspected the Ukhimath Primary Health Center. This center is now being upgraded to a Community Health Center. He also inspected the Makkumath Health Sub Center and instructed the medical staff to properly examine and treat the patients. The Health Secretary said that the process of upgrading both the centres is going on at a fast pace. Makkumath has less population as per the standards, but on the instructions of the Chief Minister and the Health Minister, it is also being upgraded as a PHC so that the villagers here can get good health services.
After this, Health Secretary Dr. R Rajesh Kumar did a field inspection of the development works going on in the disaster affected areas of Sonprayag and Sitapur. He instructed the officials of irrigation, public works and other departments to coordinate with each other and carry out development works at a fast pace. The Secretary-in-Charge informed that the Kedarnath footpath and the Gaurikund-Sonprayag highway were damaged due to heavy rains and landslides on 31st July. He informed that the Kedarnath Yatra is gaining momentum and the alternative footpath is completely safe. He said that this route will be completely repaired in the next one month. The work going on on the right side of the Son river will be completed in the next 15 days. Flood protection work is in progress on the left side of the river.
The Secretary-in-Charge also inspected Ghodapadaav in Sonprayag market. The damaged flood protection wall here has been repaired. Apart from this, the work of diversion of Mandakini river in Sitapur has been completed and flood protection work of Sitapur parking is in progress.
