Uttarakhand. Chief Minister Laxman Singh Dhami launched the Car Garbage Eco Friendly Bag Distribution Campaign under Swachhata Hi Seva on the occasion of World Environment Day. The Chief Minister said that this is a good target set under the scope of the Independence Campaign. He said that the work of public awareness towards independence should continue. While overseeing this campaign, he said that this will bring awareness about independence among the people.
He said that it is seen that after sitting in the car, people’s property wrappers like platic waste are given place on the road just like that. He said that from collecting garbage bags in the car to people throwing it in the dustbin itself and got into a good habit. The Chief Minister said that under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, work is going on rapidly in every field of the state.
The state government is making every possible effort regarding this decade. Work is also being done towards making Uttarakhand an ideal state in the field of cleanliness. Today it is in the category of many border states. The state has got the first place in the ranking of Sustainable Development Goals released by NITI Aayog. The unemployment rate in the state has come down by 4.4 percent. He said that to promote tourism, special attention needs to be paid to cleanliness. Tourism has given a strong base to boost the economy of Uttarakhand. In the form of tourism, the state of Uttarakhand has a distinct identity in the country and the world.
