Dehradun. (25 September 2024) Two talented students will be selected from each development block for the Bharat Darshan educational tour program run under the School Education Department. For this, the state government has approved the release of an amount of Rs 50 lakh. The government order for which will be issued soon from the government level. Under the educational tour program, students will visit various educational, cultural and historical places across the country.

The state’s School Education Minister Dr. Dhan Singh Rawat said that the state government has taken several steps for qualitative improvement in the education system. Which also includes the Bharat Darshan educational tour program. The purpose of this important program is to make the students aware of the diversity of the country, history, modern education system, practical teaching experience and develop a holistic approach towards education.

He informed that under the scheme, a total of 190 talented students will be sent on educational tours to different states of the country. For which 2-2 top students of high school and intermediate block wise will be selected. The state government has released an amount of Rs 50 lakh for the educational tour program for the financial year 2024-25. Its government order will be issued soon from the government level. Dr. Rawat said that under the five-day Bharat Darshan educational tour program, students will be taken on a tour of various places across the country. Through which they will get acquainted with the folk life, culture, language, lifestyle etc. there.

Apart from this, the students will also be taken on a tour of educational institutions, cultural and historical places. While this program will give practical experience to the students, it will also improve the level of education and qualification in the state. The departmental minister said that instructions have been given to the departmental officers for the solid implementation of the Bharat Darshan educational tour program. Soon the outline of the educational tour program will be prepared by selecting the topper students at the block level. Departmental officers have also been instructed that in the proposed tour program, it should also be kept in mind that the educational calendar should not be affected by the tour program and no obstacle should come in the studies of the children.
