Teenager ran into Kosi river… body recovered

Ramnagar. A 12-year-old boy who went to take bath in Kosi river with his father in the evening in Ramnagar was swept away in the strong current of water. A lot of efforts were made to find him but no trace of the boy was found.

After receiving the information, the SDRF and police team reached the spot and launched a search operation to find the boy who was swept away in the Kosi river. After about 2 hours of hard work, the SDRF personnel recovered the body of the boy who was swept away in the river. After finding the body, there is an uproar among the family members.

Giving information regarding the incident, Tehsildar Kuldeep Pandey said that Govind Singh Bisht, a resident of village Nai Basti Pookhdi, had gone to take bath in Kosi river with his three children. He told that in the meantime, while bathing, Govind Bisht’s 12-year-old son Dheeraj Bisht was swept away in the strong current of water.

After the screams of the children, Govind Bisht also tried to save his children but he could not succeed.

  Tehsildar Kuldeep Pandey told that after getting information from the disaster control room, SDRF jawans reached the spot and conducted a search operation in the river for about 2 hours after which Dheeraj Bisht was found near Kalu Siddha Gate. He informed that the police is also engaged in investigating the matter.
