50% subsidy on 200 units of electricity will be available in Uttarakhand

Dehradun. Usually before the elections, all the governments and political parties make big promises and claims, but in contrast to this, the Dhami government in Uttarakhand has announced to give great relief to the people. Now in Uttarakhand, consumers who consume 200 units of electricity will be given 100 units of electricity for free. However, this scheme has been implemented for the poor. The subsidy of 100 units of electricity will be given only to the snow-covered consumers in high altitude areas where there is snowfall.

Consumers who use 200 units of electricity in a month will be given a subsidy of 100 units of electricity or 50%. At the same time, such consumers across the state who spend only 100 units of electricity by installing smart meters. The government will also consider them needy and give them free electricity. Let us tell you here that those who spend more than 100 units will not be able to get its benefit. Due to this exemption, the department will have a financial burden of Rs 140 crore on the government.
