Dehradun. On (01 September, 2024), a daylight robbery was carried out by miscreants at Shri Balaji Jewelers in Jwalapur area of Haridwar. After the incident, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami had also given instructions for the speedy disclosure of the said incident and Director General of Police Abhinav Kumar adopted a strict attitude on the Jwalapur robbery incident.
The Director General of Police himself reached the spot and took detailed information about the incident and assured the victim of the disclosure of the incident along with the early arrest of the accused.
Let us tell you that yesterday night at around 10.30 pm, SHO Bahadarabad was checking vehicles at BHEL Tiraha Bahadarabad with the police team. When an attempt was made to stop a motorcycle without number plate on which two people were riding from the side of Loha Bridge, both the persons had covered their faces with white cloth, the person sitting behind fired at the police team and they fled towards Bahadarabad market, on which the SHO Bahadarabad along with his police team chased the said miscreants, the said miscreants were running towards Bhagwanpur Road, when about 100 meters before Pathri Roh bridge, the motorcycle slipped on the breaker on the road, these people left the motorcycle on the road and started running towards the forest while firing at the police team, on which the police team asked them to surrender, even then the miscreants kept firing at the police team. The police team took retaliatory action for its self-defense in which one miscreant got injured and one managed to escape from the spot taking advantage of the darkness.
The injured was immediately sent to the hospital for treatment. The forensic team was called on the spot and on checking the bag recovered from the spot, the jewelry looted from Sri Balaji Jewelers on 01 September 2024 was recovered from inside the bag. At the same time, during treatment in the district hospital, the miscreant has been declared dead by the doctors. On the basis of the mobile phone recovered from the miscreant, the miscreant has been identified as Satendra Pal.
A reward of Rs 01 lakh was also announced on the accused. Meanwhile, today the Haridwar Jwalapur police, engaged in the disclosure of the robbery case, arrested 02 other accused Gurdeep Singh and Jaideep Singh involved in the said robbery from near Khyaati Dhaba with the jewelry looted in the robbery, eight gold chains.
