Pauri Garhwal. (12 September 2024) The third meeting of the Board of District Level Development Authority Pauri Garhwal was held in the Commissioner’s Office Pauri under the chairmanship of Commissioner Garhwal Vinay Shankar Pandey.
In the meeting, Commissioner Garhwal said that it is regrettable that the decisions taken in the second meeting of the board held on 14 February 2020 were not followed/implemented seriously. A total of 15 agendas were discussed in the meeting in the presence of the board members. The Commissioner said that the agenda mainly includes not passing the maps of residential buildings of the people.
He said that this problem is coming due to the difference in land use. He clarified that the approval of the map depends on how people are using the land on which they own or on which they are living. He said that to overcome the problems being faced by the people in getting the maps of residential buildings made, this land use will be sent to residential in the master plan that will be made in the future.
Regarding the cases pending at the government level, Commissioner Garhwal directed the District Magistrate/Deputy Chairman District Level Development Authority Pauri Garhwal to prepare a file of all the cases of District Level Development Authority pending at the government level and ensure to make it available to the Commissioner’s Office.
For the settlement of cases related to the approval of the map of development/construction works like home stay being done in the outer area of the authority’s boundary, Commissioner Garhwal has directed to convene a board meeting within 15 days in the presence of the concerned Sub-District Magistrate, Executive Engineer Irrigation Department and Junior Engineer District Development Authority.
District Magistrate Garhwal Dr. Ashish Chauhan, Additional District Magistrate Ila Giri, Municipal Commissioner Kotdwar Vaibhav Gupta, SDM Chatar Singh Chauhan, Sohan Saini Nupur Verma, Shalini Maurya, Superintending Engineer Public Works Department P. Brijwal, Chief Treasurer Girish Chand and other officers were present in the meeting.
