Dehradun. The state government has made registration mandatory for all the pilgrims coming on Chardham Yatra. Due to closure of offline registration in Haridwar and Rishikesh, now devotees can come on Chardham Yatra only after online registration. This step has been taken keeping in mind the safety and convenience of the pilgrims.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami is very serious about the smooth and convenient journey of the devotees coming from all over the country and the world on the Chardham Yatra. The government is continuously holding review meetings with administration officials for safe and orderly travel.
On Wednesday, Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has issued an advisory for compulsory registration.
Pilgrims have been asked to come on the yatra only after registration. If they come without registration, they may be stopped at the barrier or check point. And if this happens, they will have to face huge inconvenience. Passengers have been advised to come for the journey only on the scheduled date after registration. Go on the same route to the Dham you are visiting.
Tour and travel agencies conducting the journey have also been asked to ensure whether the passengers have registered or not. Also whether the trip card has been issued to the passenger vehicle or not. It is expected that all the pilgrims will cooperate with the government and administration by following the travel advisory
